Prado expands acquisition of its universe Vervloet and of excellence with the Atelier Luxus
Prado, the Belgian innovative manufacturer of invisible home technology, announces the acquisition of Vervloet, the Brussels-born maestro of luxurious brass and bronze hardware, and Atelier Luxus, the Belgian manufacturer of refined luxury switches and sockets. With the addition of these two icons of design and craftsmanship, Prado builds on their 2022 integration of ROND, the minimalist socket and switch company, continuing its mission to gather Europe’s most exceptional maisons of craftsmanship under a single, visionary house of brands.
Prado, founded in 2020 by Thibault Renson, develops aesthetic and functional innovations for high-end, residential interiors. The brand enables invisible technological features to be seamlessly integrated into ceilings. It first gained prominence with ‘light + ventilation’, an architectural lighting line that cleverly and invisibly incorporates ventilation into a single luminaire.
Prado’s invisible technology has gained global traction and has been realized for both architects such as Axel Vervoordt, Vincent Van Duysen, Joseph Dirand, Felix Millory, Norm Architects, Bjarke Ingels as well as concepts and brands as Aesop, Saint Laurent, Chanel and Jacquemus. Since 2022, alongside lighting, Prado—under the ROND umbrella—also offers minimalist sockets and switches that aim to disappear in the interiors.
The brand also capitalizes on the “quiet luxury” trend, returning to purity and simplicity. Invisible, timeless design is combined with technological innovation to create calm at home, with solutions that harmoniously blend into their surroundings as a response to the hectic outside world. By bringing Vervloet and Atelier Luxus into the Prado family, Prado strengthens its role as a curator of expertise and reinforces its ambition to unite excellence under one house. Customers gain an extended, cohesive finish across sockets, switches, and fittings, delivering a uniform, timeless look. With switches and handles generally 20 cm apart, having a single design language across categories eliminates visual discord, offering peace of mind and a truly seamless interior. Interior architects are continuously searching to match pallets and materials to create unity. With this newly formed house of brands, Prado aims to exactly answer to that demand.
Heritage and innovation grow hand in hand here, and craftsmanship gains renewed momentum and broader backing in the world’s most extraordinary spaces. Both Vervloet and Atelier Luxus have become “labor-of-love” labels: their quality, craftsmanship and finishing are unmatched in the high-end segment. There is abundant supply across broad categories, but little that matches the same level of refinement and exclusivity as Vervloet and Atelier Luxus. These brands are true luxury brands with a unique heritage: leaders in their category, with globally renowned references and long-standing collaborations with architects and designers.
Quote – Thibault Renson, founder and CEO Prado
“Vervloet and Atelier Luxus embody more than a century of know-how and artistic dedication. By bringing them into the Prado family, we aim to protect their heritage while also opening new horizons in design, innovation and international visibility. These acquisitions are rooted in a love and passion for brands whose obsessive focus on quality, craftsmanship and finishing are unsurpassed in the high-end segment. It is a deliberate choice to not only preserve these remarkable houses but also help them flourish on the world stage. Every action starts with a passion for the product and a constant drive toward perfection.”
Quote – Nicolas Marinus, CEO Vervloet
“At Vervloet, we aim to make artworks you can touch, jewels for the home. Over the years, we often find ourselves in the same prestigious projects as Prado, brought together through the vision of architects and homeowners who value both craftsmanship and innovation. Becoming part of the Prado family allows us to build on this natural complementarity and to carry our savoir-faire onto an even broader, international stage. It is an opportunity to preserve our century-old heritage while opening new creative horizons together.”
Quote – Naci Arel, founder and CEO Atelier Luxus
“Atelier Luxus has always believed in merging artisanal excellence with minimal design and technological refinement. We share this vision with Prado, and we are proud to now be united under one house. This acquisition not only strengthens the collaborations that already existed between our brands, but also paves the way for new opportunities where architects and designers will benefit from a truly cohesive design language across categories.”
Prado sees these acquisitions as an opportunity to grow heritage and innovation together, so that customers worldwide gain access to a coherent, premium offer of brands whose design language complements one another. The aim is to elevate the luxury residential experience globally through quiet technology and superb finishes—driven by a shared product passion and a commitment to perfection.
